Usage and precautions of insulin injection pen

Operation steps:
1. Take out the prepared syringe, confirm that the dose selection is at the zero position, then transfer 2iu, pick up the insulin pen, make the needle point upward, and flick the pen cartridge holder with your finger for several times;
2. Press the injection push button;
3. Until there is a drop of full medicine hanging on the needle tip;
4. Adjust the dose of insulin;
5. Fully press the injection push button;
6. Until the dose display returns to zero.
matters needing attention:
1. Disinfect the skin with 75% alcohol, and do not disinfect the skin with iodine alcohol disinfectants;
2. Eat 15-30min after short acting insulin injection and 5-10min after quick acting insulin injection to avoid hypoglycemia;
3. The injection site should be changed frequently, and the injection site of the abdomen should be 2-10cm around the umbilicus;
4. If the liquid medicine is in the refrigerator, it must be taken out 30 minutes in advance to avoid pain at the injection site;
5. The insulin pen should be stored at room temperature of about 25 ℃ or according to the instructions;
6. After the injection, the needle should be removed to prevent the temperature change from causing the medicine liquid to overflow or air to enter the insulin pen;
7. Before each injection, the needle tip should be upward to exhaust the air;
The color band on the refill indicates different dosage forms of insulin. Before injection, it should be carefully checked and confirmed before injection.
