How to replace cartridge of insulin pen

There are special insulin pens for insulin injection, which cannot be used interchangeably or arbitrarily, so as to avoid inaccurate insulin dose and affect the changes of blood sugar. 

The way to replace a cartridge is:

1. Unscrew the needle, put on the plastic cap and throw it away.
2. Unscrew the cartridge holder from the middle position and take out the empty cartridge.
3. Insert a new cartridge.
4. Use alcohol to disinfect the rubber film at the front of the refill.
5. After the alcohol is dried, screw on a new needle.

Make sure to check whether the pen cartridge is intact, whether it is the insulin dosage form used by yourself, whether the insulin liquid is precipitated or crystallized, and the expiry date of the insulin. The pen cartridge can be installed only after it is confirmed to be correct. Pay attention to the changes of blood sugar when injecting insulin, and do not change the dosage and dosage form without permission.
